An Afternoon Tea with a Kick
What a brilliant afternoon at the Village Hall on Friday 30 October, celebrating 100 years since the first Hall was opened in 1926. Over 70 people enjoyed an Afternoon Tea of sandwiches, sponge cakes, scones & lashings of tea, music from the decades was played in the background, plus photos and cine file that featured the Hall and life in the village being projected onto the big screen.
One of the Hall’s current user groups, Verve Martial Arts gave a fantastic, breath-taking demonstration, which even involved two young volunteers that, with tuition, broke wood with a kick. All the Verve students were fantastic, a credit to John Swift and his team.
Huge thanks to everyone that helped celebrate Church Hall 100, attending the Afternoon Tea, volunteering and to Verve Martial Arts for their demonstration.
