Relatives of Reginald Farmer: My family was in Clent for a number of generations, and my uncle, Arthur Hancox, married Mary Gretton from Belbroughton. My father was Les Hancox (Sep 1913 to Oct 1991), and his father was Charles Hancox, who lived at Lower Clent with his wife, Rose. It may be that I am related to the Hancoxes mentioned, but I do not have any records in that regard or any recognition of the names although they lived in the next village. However I was told that my father had a cousin who lived somewhere in the 'Black Country' (and I thought Smethwick or thereabouts) who's surname was spelt with the 'cks' instead of 'x'.

So glad I live in beautiful Wildmoor! Peaceful, friendly with helpful neighbours - what would we have done without their support over the last months. Both of us have to self isolate, will continue to do so for some time into the future, but the kindness of our neighbours is making this situation bearable. We've been living here for over 20 years and have realised, especially during this pandemic, that freedom and happiness is very easy to find here.
